On March 22, World Water Day, the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (CONAIE) arrived in the city of Quito, concluding their 14-day national protest march.
This is the first portion to the documentary film "I am a Defender of the Rainforest" (Soy Defensor de la Selva). The film focuses in on the struggle and of the Kichwa people of Sarayaku in southern Ecuador. In 2002 the Argentinian oil company CGC invaded the Kichwa's Autonomous territory.
